TEasy ("we", "us") is desktop software that reads business documents — bills, invoices, bank statements — and helps you turn them into Tally vouchers. This page explains what data we collect and why, both on this website and inside the app itself.
What stays on your computer
The core of TEasy runs locally. The documents you upload, the extracted transaction data, and your Tally connection settings are stored in a local database on your own PC (under your Windows user profile) and are never uploaded to us. We have no visibility into your bills, your ledgers, or your Tally data.
What does leave your computer
- Bill images, sent to Groq for OCR. To read a photographed bill, TEasy sends the image to Groq's vision API using an API key you provide yourself. That exchange is governed by Groq's own privacy policy, not ours — we don't see or store a copy.
- Your email and license status, sent to our license server. When you start a trial or subscribe, we store your email address and subscription status (active, trialing, expired) so the app can verify it's licensed. This is the only personal data we hold on our own servers.
- Payment details, handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or UPI details — Razorpay processes payment and tells us only whether a subscription is active.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't share your email with anyone except the payment processor (Razorpay) needed to bill you.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and license/subscription history for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for billing records. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see contact below) — this doesn't affect data already stored locally on your own PC, which is yours to delete whenever you like.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the email below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where practical, let existing subscribers know by email.
